Prior to this mission, a meeting was held by video conference between Gilad Semama, commissioner of the Privacy Protection Authority of Israel, and Omar Seghrouchni, president of the CNDP, according to a statement by the Commission.
The two officials discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two institutions and agreed on the organization of joint working visits to Morocco and Israel to establish a sustainable collaboration on the protection of personal data.
The "International Working Group on Data Protection in Technology", known as the Berlin Group, was created in 1983 at the initiative of a number of national data protection authorities around the world. Today, it observes trends and developments in the technology sector, such as big data, the Internet of Things or artificial intelligence.
To this end, the group develops recommendations and guidelines for using these technologies in a way that is consistent with the requirements of personal data protection.
