In a speech at the opening of the weekly meeting of the Government Council, El Otmani stressed the need to strive doubly hard to achieve the objectives and priorities of the delicate period that Morocco is going through, referring to the importance of the decrees examined and approved by the Council.
He also called on all ministerial departments to speed up the implementation of the provisions of the five approved decrees and to take measures and decisions in the interest of citizens and businesses.
El Otmani said that some of these decrees are part of social priority, and are related to the broadening of health coverage and the pension system for the benefit of professionals, self-employed workers and independent workers exercising a private activity, namely judicial officers and tourist guides.
There is also another decree which concerns the economic priority through the support of certain sectors affected by the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), namely the tourism sector, in addition to the decree relating to the implementation of certain provisions of the law on the simplification of procedures and administrative formalities, having a direct relationship with the priority of the development of the governance system and administration reform, he said.
The Head of Government noted that there are three priorities to which the government is committed within the framework of "the implementation of the High Royal Guidelines contained in the last two speeches of HM the King, and the continued implementation of the provisions of the government program".
El Otmani also underlined the importance of the Government Council meeting marked by the adoption of five draft decrees linked to the priorities laid down in the High Royal Guidelines contained in the last two Speeches of the Throne and of August 20.
