The Sovereign expressed deep emotion and sadness, stressing that the family of Ulema in the Republic of Senegal and in the Islamic world have lost a great scholar who devoted his life to spreading the values of tolerant Islam in Africa and the Arab world.
HM the King extends to the late scholar's family, to the League Ulema and to all the followers and disciples of the Tijania confraternity sincere condolences and sympathy, praying the Almighty to welcome him in his vast paradise.
The Sovereign also recollects the late scholar's Islamic virtues and action to disseminate these virtues both in Senegal and in Morocco where he was highly respected for his spiritual impact at the service of Islamic unity and consolidation of brotherly bonds, especially between Morocco and Senegal.
HM the King further recollects the close links that the late scholar used to have with the Ulema of Morocco, based on respect, affection and attachment to Morocco's sacred values.
