Here is the full text of the press release:
"The French-Moroccan judicial cooperation agreement was suspended last February at the initiative of the Moroccan government.
This decision is motivated by the need to review the contents of this agreement, in the light of serious dysfunctions identified in Paris against senior Moroccans.
Some French nationals detained in Morocco have recently adopted an extreme attitude, given the effects of the suspension on the files that are being processed.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who is concerned for the plight of these prisoners on hunger strike, gave his high instructions to the Minister of Justice and Liberties for the establishment, on a purely exceptional and humanitarian basis, of a committee to review their cases.
The committee will examine the files of the detainees, in consultation with the competent French authorities, to suggest the appropriate measures and solve the pending problems.
The French-Moroccan judicial cooperation agreement was suspended by the Moroccan government following a number of aberrations and blunders that were observed.
The Sovereign, while supportive of his government, reiterates through this exceptional measure, the respect of the Kingdom for universal human values ??and its long-standing commitment to not tolerating the suffering of people who are victims of intergovernmental disputes."
