The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 372,620 while the number of cured people increases to 323,814 the ministry pointed out in its daily update, adding that the recovery rate has reached 86.9%.

A total of 73 coronavirus-related deaths were registered in the past day, taking the death toll to 6,136, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.6%.

These fatalities were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (22), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (12), the Oriental (8), Souss-Massa (7), Fez-Meknes (6), Guelmim-Oued Noun (4), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (4), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4), Marrakech-Safi (3), Draa-Tafilalet (2) and Laayoune Sakia Lhamra (1).

The new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1,348), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (853), Souss-Massa (553), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (361), Marrakech-Safi (228), Guelmim-Oued Noun (129), the Oriental (101), Laayoune Sakia Lhamra (100), Draa-Tafilalet (90),  Beni Mellal-Khenifra (78), Fez-Meknes (71) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (24).

The total number of excluded cases following negative tests rises to 3,665,981 since the start of the outbreak, including 17,614 in the past day.

The number of active cases has reached 42,670, including 955 patients in a critical or severe condition, the ministry added.
